Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

 

Hearts and Bees to save Secession!

Secession Art & Design has been closed to the public for 43 days as a non-essential business during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the shelter-in-place order has just been extended through May. Our goal is to get creative with our fundraising and keep our fingers crossed.

Virtual Happy Hour with Nathalie Fabri and Heather Robinson

Secession Art & Design's new spring show, Essential, is a lush and vibrant collection featuring mixed-media abstract art by Heather Robinson and colorful urban landscapes by Nathalie Fabri. Our gallery, like so many, closed our doors as a nonessential business during the COVID-19 pandemic to help slow the spread of the virus. This show was born from watching artists use social media as their muse as they shelter in place in their homes.

New Spring Art & Clothing online in our mini-boutique

Secession Art & Design is my home away from home. Our gallery and boutique is closed to the public until May (or longer) as a non-essential business during the pandemic. I strongly believe that art is essential, and I have shown up every day to support the 70+ artists and designers that I represent. It brings me great joy to curate, so my self-care this month was hanging a brand new show, featuring vibrant abstracts by our in-house artist Heather Robinson and bright dreamy urban landscapes by Nathalie Fabri
