Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

 

Victoria Veedell magically paints the Russian River

One of my favorite SF artists, Victoria Veedell, often takes day trips north to the Russian River. She captures the light and motion of the water so beautifully in her large-scale oil paintings! This enchanted place is a delight, with golden hues in the morning, earthly tones in the afternoon, and magenta hyper-real sunsets in the early evenings. I can picture drifting down the river in a canoe and getting lost in my thoughts.

Within a short drive of my home in Sonoma County is the river, the redwoods, or the ocean air. Naturally, our virtual gallery has a lot of art that brings the outside in and makes a statement in your home. What art reminds you of your favorite summer hikes and adventures?
