Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

 

Summer Abstracts by Linda Donohue

I got the lovely opportunity to stop by Petaluma artist Linda Donohue's studio last weekend with my 4-year-old. Luca helped curate some colorful abstracts for Secession's virtual gallery. His favorite was called Sunny Side Up.

I was drawn to some larger pieces that reminded me of mazes or maps - my eye was searching all over the canvas for hidden details. And Linda's seascapes had me dreaming of the ocean. What art will freshen up your walls as we head into longer and warmer days?
