Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Collect art from our pop-up

Thank you for a great weekend!

The pop-up has ended, but our virtual gallery is full of beautiful art to collect for your abode. I rested deeply this week after a long city weekend hosting our Spring Art Pop-up. It was a huge risk to rent the empty storefront and transform it into a gallery. You all showed up and many of you went home with art. Thank you to all of our artists, to my family for trusting and believing in my vision, and to the customers who filled my heart with stories and kind words. Because of you, I'm one proud curator, glowing from the memories of this event.

XO Eden

P.S. My friend Rachel Znerold captured this sweet video and tour of the pop-up gallery. If you missed the event, you can still get a visual taste of this latest dream curation.
