Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

State of California honors Secession Art & Design

Secession Art & Design was awarded a certificate of recognition on our 10th anniversary, for supporting over 50 independent artists and makers. This was totally unexpected! I had no idea that they were paying attention at the state level to my small, arts-supporting business. Thank you, David Chiu, for believing in my vision that everybody should have the opportunity to own art. This is validation that places like Secession are valuable to local communities and San Francisco. Feeling honored!
