Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Join us for Gratitude Happy Hour Thursday 6-8pm

Plus take a video tour of Secession!

Secession Art & Design is so excited to collaborate with the talented Daniel J Valadez on a video featuring our current show, Second Skin. This is a great way to take a virtual walk through our gallery and get a look at the artists, makers, and all the details. This show is only up through Saturday. If you see a piece of art that you love, purchase it online using in-store pickup. If you are not local, we'll ship right to your door.

To celebrate all that is Secession, and 10 beautiful years of hosting over 50 art shows, Shannon Weber of loveyou2.org is hosting a gratitude party for us this Thursday, 6-8pm, and you're invited. This is a great opportunity to start your holiday gift shopping!

Thank you for honoring Secession and the activism I do in the community. I feel gratitude each day for getting to do what I love.

XO
Eden

PS: We're pleased to have gotten mentioned in 7x7's recent article about the neighborhood!
