Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

NorCal Fire Relief Donations and Volunteering

707 Love

Thank you everyone who has donated, and given me hugs and strength to get through this past week. My parents are safe and back in their house as of yesterday. Today I am picking up a carload of fresh juice to bring to firefighters and first responders.

Thank you to everyone who donated your food and supplies to our donation drive. We are no longer accepting donations. Please consider donating money and time to Crossing the Jordan, who took on the job of sorting through everything that was donated and getting it to the right places.

This week you helped us fill over 30 vans that headed north with supplies. Thank you to all the volunteers who donated time and all the local businesses that ran shop while supplies filled every nook and cranny. The dog-walking community has stepped up for animals and humans, and shown thoughtfulness in how to get the supplies to folks who did not check into a shelter.

This week, with an incredible team, I was tested and we figured out almost every challenge. When the request is to get 200 pounds of chicken to Santa Rosa, you just figure it out.
