Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Secession is collecting donations for Sonoma County fire relief

Drop off donations Tuesday - Saturday 12-7pm

Santa Rosa is where I was born. Santa Rosa will always be home. This is why I ask you to donate.

Secession Art & Design is an official drop-off point for donations for the Sonoma County Fires. We're collecting donations this week 12-7pm Tuesday-Saturday. Our friends at Social Imprints have teamed up with us to support our home town. So far ten trucks have delivered supplies. Today four trucks are already loaded with food, and four more are delivering supplies.

We still need:

  • new towels
  • socks and underwear
  • shoes
  • strollers
  • suitcases, bags, and backpacks
  • pet supplies (food, dishes, leashes etc)

If you can't drop off supplies, the Redwood Empire Food Bank needs financial and food donations. The REFB is currently providing critical food to shelters for our neighbors displaced by fires. They are in need of non-perishable, ready-to-eat foods that can be easily consumed by our neighbors living in evacuation centers. These items include: granola bars, snack packs, fruit cups, beef jerky, canned goods with pop-top lids, peanut butter, jelly, nuts, crackers, bottled water and other healthy drinks. Think of what you would take on a hike or a picnic and bring that. Please, no glass containers.

XO
Eden

Thank you to SFSmiles, Fempire, Idle Hand Tattoo, Brandy Lange and many more for all the incredible donations and help getting them north.
