Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

 

Music gifts that rock!

A favorite tradition in my family is choosing a record and having a dance party. We must be a sight for neighbors walking by, watching us get our groove on. Our vinyl collection prints by Bughouse are almost sold out, but a few are left from the pop-up. For the t-shirt fan, you can get a guitar or drumset on a tee that is soft to the touch. Hello holidays! Time for shopping local

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Gift Art Pop-up and bought art! I loved getting to catch up with each and every one of you. My heart is warm from hearing how Secession Art & Design has had meaning in your life. I also was a proud curator mama, watching Luca be so engaged with showing customers all the paintings. Whenever someone walked into the gallery he would shout "Hello, hello, hello!"

I hope you can join us tonight at 307 Cortland for a celebration with our artists, makers, and community. As many of you know, one of our favorite traditions at Secession was to have a bottle of Jameson open on Christmas Eve and have a shot with our customers while helping them with last-minute shopping. Many of our clients participated in this party for over a decade.
