Secession Art & Design's 15th Anniversary Show opens this Thursday, August 4, 12-8 PM at 307 Cortland Ave in SF! Joshua Coffy and Silvi Alcivar created art that is powerful and graceful at the same time.

Secession Art & Design is featuring two women artists this week who use unusual materials and textures in their work. For our 15th Anniversary Show, Andreina Davila and Dianne Hoffman created art for the narrow wall spaces in your home. These spots can highlight the details in each piece and add so much character to each room.

Secession Art & Design is a place where our artists can experiment and speak their hearts. For our 15th Anniversary show, Olena McMurtrey created these two incredible paintings that are healing in their scale, and allowed Olena to take a moment to breathe and just paint. I was really moved by Olena's post about the war in Ukraine. Her honesty and insight have illustrated how war impacts people and how artists create communities that can make change and awareness.

Secession Art & Design's art collection is in bloom with color and flowers - paintings that welcome you into a room and wake up your senses. This week's featured artists are Rachel Znerold and Phillip Hua. Both created brand-new art for our 15th Anniversary Pop-Up.

Secession Art & Design is drawn toward texture and gold tones. Shannon Amidon's encaustic butterflies are a stunning addition to our 15th Anniversary Pop-up in August. Shannon lives on a dreamy 4.5 acres of land in Troutdale, Oregon. Inspired by nature, science, and the ecosystem surrounding her, she created The Verdancy Project. Her studio is nestled on this property where she explores her art process.
