Secession Art & Design's current show Rejuvenation is a breath of fresh air, featuring artists Lynn Rubenzer, Mark Lifvendahl, and Uma Rani Iyli. As the days get longer and life just seems more hopeful, the colors and textures of this collection tempt your senses. Paint that looks like fabric, splatters that resemble flowers, and whimsical houses that seem familiar but abstract. This is the last weekend to see this show in person and take home a piece of art. If you are out of town, you can shop online using the in-store pickup option to reserve your art from home or vacation.

I feel like a broken record, but 2020 was a year of pivoting, fundraising, and survival. I am thankful that Secession Art & Design made it to 2021. I just filed my taxes and ended up owing quite a bit more than expected for the grants and fundraising efforts that helped us keep our doors open. This year, I have not been eligible or lucky to get any grants to help us build capacity, as we begin to think about the future. Our revenue is completely coming from retail sales.
My big ask to you is to shop. If you've been eyeing a painting that would look perfect above the couch, please think about taking the leap. If you have not bought any new clothes in a year, please go on a shopping spree. Our gallery & boutique features over 70 artists and designers. Our future is in your hands. All you have to do to support us is purchase art, clothing, or jewelry from one of our makers, and you'll get something you'll feel excited to own.
