Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Popup and Fashion Show at Secession

Friday, October 11, 6-8pm

Secession Art & Design is hosting an independent designer popup and youth fashion show for KFLY & Lemon Twist. Stop by this Friday 6pm to meet the designers, shop their collections, and ask them about what it is like to produce clothing in small batches locally in San Francisco and Seattle. We're also really excited to be hosting a fashion show for Lemon Twist's designer youth program.

Listen to Eden on Spirit of 608 podcast

Secession Art & Design is my dream career, and I've spent the last 12 years building it. I was honored when Lorraine Sanders asked for an interview on her podcast, Spirit of 608. I personally listen to this show once a week for inspiration and to learn about women who are making the world more sustainable through fashion and tech. My interview dives into my punk rock background, crowdfunding for maternity leave, running a retail business in San Francisco, and what it is like to be a mom entrepreneur. Thank you for listening to my story.
