Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

New Spring Hours

We're now open Thursday - Sunday, 12-7pm

While I am bonding the next couple of weeks, Secession will still be open. Please shop. Every time you buy a gift or piece of art, you are supporting our community of 70 independent artists and designers.

Artists Talk and Maternity Leave Fundraiser Happy Hour

This Friday March 15, 6-8pm

Secession Art & Design is honored to host an artist talk with Silvi AlcivarBianca Levan, and Leslie Morgan, three women using experimental mediums to explore themes of life, the unexpected, and nature. This is a rare opportunity to learn about their art, technique, and the stories that inspired this body of work. Connect with one of our artists and purchase art from their collection to take home.

The gallery will remain open till 8 for a happy hour, celebrating and fundraising for my upcoming maternity leave.
