Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Baby goat cuddle & Eden 10k fundraiser

Feeling complete gratitude to everyone who has supported my fundraiser so far. My goal is to raise 10k in 10 days. You can support me by donating, buying art, or hiring me to do personal curating in your home. I am actively applying for jobs, working on my art consultant business, and taking a little time to play with baby goats.

Last week at my neighbors' Lettuce Laugh Farms, four baby goats were born! They are named after breakfast foods: Toast, Muffin, Chex, and Omelette. Hilary William's art and farm is a gift that keeps on giving. As I sat in the garden with a sleeping goat on my lap, every worry in the world was gone. My son was amazed that these babies could walk, jump and roam around shortly after birth.

Thank you for making me feel seen and heard as I navigate what to do next with my life, and thank you for donating so I can have some time to land a job that will give me happiness, pay our bills, and provide for my family's future.

XO Eden

P.S. If you find yourself in Sonoma County May 6-7, many local farms are hosting an event through Farm Trails called Blossom, Bees and Barnyard Babies. It's a great way to explore the backroads and get to cuddle some baby animals.
