Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Miranda Caroligne Pop-up

Friday, November 9, 6-8pm

Secession Art & Design's winter clothing selection is all about layering shrugs, sweaters, cardigans, and coats over your favorite dress or jeans. This Friday, we have a special treat for you - designer Miranda Caroligne will be here. Her specialty is repurposing sweaters and magically giving them new life as dresses and shrugs. On Friday, Miranda will also have her fleece jackets available, as well as one-of-a-kind pieces.

You may notice that I almost always have one of her sweaters on over a dress. They are the perfect combo of warmth, coziness, and style. She now lives in Oregon with her family, so this is a rare opportunity to meet her in person and shop her wearable art while she is in San Francisco. See you Friday evening!
