Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Lit Crawl at Secession - Saturday, October 20th, 8-9pm

Secession is excited to host Lit Crawl this Saturday, October 20th, 8pm. "Lit Crawl is a massive, one-night literary pub crawl throughout the city’s Mission District. Lit Crawl SF brings together 500+ authors and close to 10,000 fans for the world’s largest free pop-up literary event." Our event at Secession will feature stories inspired by Anthony Bourdain, told by Silvi Alcivar, Nicole Hankton, Leslie Jonath, Eden Stein, and Hiya Swanhuyser. Storytellers dug into their past to share words inspired by the man himself, food, or adventure.

Bourdain is an inspiration to so many on so many levels. Even after death his legacy and stories live on. He is dearly missed, but by telling tales and sharing experiences at Lit Crawl, we echo his journey to gather and connect interesting people. Join us this Saturday!

XO Eden
