Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Hanukkah Gift Guide

Cards, pins, t-shirts, and sparkly jewelry

Secession Art & Design is all about making the shopping experience easy. With over 70 artists and makers to choose from, you're bound to find a thoughtful gift.

This year it was pure happiness putting this collection together. One of my favorite parts of owning Secession is getting to know the makers, learning their stories, and curating their mini-collections for the gallery and boutique.

My grandparents owned a gift and stationery store in Philadelphia for 40 years. This time of year always makes me think of them!  One could say I followed in their footsteps. While lighting the candles for Hanukkah each night, I take a moment to be thankful for my family, a life that is rich with community, and my small business. This weekend, tell me a story about your holiday traditions.

I'm open Tuesday through Sunday, 12-7pm. See you soon,
Eden
