| My technique has evolved from my experiences in art, design, and fabrication. The pieces are rendered from a palette of truly mixed-media: merging iconic design elements, organic forms, and reclaimed materials with color and carvings to create textural, dimensional, and dynamic compositions. |

I compose my paintings using oil and acrylic paint, bronzing powder, and other mixed media. By painting plant forms in between layers of thin glazes and resin the forms begin to occupy various spaces in the foreground and background of the landscape. My inspiration comes through direct observation of nature but also from intuition and imagination. I strive to stretch the vast possibilities of nature by balancing between the definitive and ethereal. |
